Bryan and his wife Kim have a daughter and a son. The family also has a dog named Whiskey and enjoys spending time at thier cottage in Marmora, Ontario during the summer. One day, Bryan would like to participate in the 'Survivor' television series. Known as one of the NHL's most punishing hitters, Bryan scored his only goal of the 1999-00 season against St. Louis in the Stanley Cup Playoffs - His first post season goal since 1992. Head coach Darryl Sutter named 'Mush' and alternate captain on Oct. 28 1998. Bryan is a big fisherman and considers it the best form of relaxation. This summer, he took a vacation to Valley View, Alberta. Other activities include hunting and hiking. He enjoys listening to country music and his favorite pre-game meal is pasta or steak. While growing up he enjoyed watching Bobby Orr and Darryl Sittler and he lists his most memorable hockey moment as his experience in the Stanley Cup Finals with Chicago in 1992. Bryan was named the Edmonton Oilers Defenseman of the Year for two consecutive years (1996 and 1997). He lists 'Slapshot' and 'Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo' as his favorite movies. Bryan is approaching his 600th NHL game played and eclipsed the 1,600-penalty minute mark last season.
